Common Warthog
From Zoo Atlanta. Warthogs are pigs that have adapted to grassland and Savannahs of South Africa. They are omnivorous. The females live in groups called sounders and the males only come into the sounders if the female is in estrus. They have thin skin, little fur and no subcutaneous fat and as a result find mud holes to lower their body temp in the hot climate and will sleep together to stay warm in the cold.
