Lane Frost
Statue of Lane Frost at the Cowboy Museum in Cheyenne. He was one of the great bull riders (won the GPM Super Bull in Del Rio in 1985 & was World Champion in 1987). In 1989 after his successful 8 second ride during the Cheyenne Frontier Days he was hit by his bull twice before he could get to his feet. This broke ribs and tore an artery resulting in his early death at age 26. The movie "8 seconds" made in Del Rio was made about his life. This stature commemorates his accomplishments.
