The way down is steep, steep and rough
This is the way to the shelter that contain rock art from the Ancients 2,500 BC at the Devils River State Natural Area. This is what I am usually doing the first Sat. of each month visiting these very remote Rock Art Sites. You may get some of the perspective by seeing the size of the people trying to descend this
very steep and rocky terrain. That is not to mention the cacti and other sticky desert plants
that can make this most uncomfortable. Fortunately we went early in the morning before it got to 103 degrees later that day. Overcast to begin with was most welcome. Emile
