Bison bison bones from Bonfire Shelter
These are some of the remains of the last buffalo jump when hundreds were driven off the cliffs onto the Talus cone. There were so many that the rotting heap of partially butchered carcasses decayed built up gasses and spontaneously combusted in intense heat that reduced most of the bison bones to ash. It was because of this the shelter was named "Bonfire Shelter" and archeologist know it as 41VV218. Emile
