The Triad "Tres Shamans"
This is one of the more well preserved and studied pictographs in the Fate Bell Shelter. First you will notice the over-painting and that it is in the Pecos River Polychrome Style which dates back more than 4,000 years. The central shaman is dominant with antlers, clawed feet, and squared wings with billowing black clouds. Notice the two anthropomorph at each end . Close ups of each and and its representation/interpretation will follow. This pictograph is high up on the wall on the north side and was protected from the various elements of destruction that affected other pictographs.
