Valley Springs Gneiss in Llano Uplift
This location is called the "Devils Waterhole" in the Inks Lake State Park in the Texas Hill Country. It is located along HiWay 29 between Llano and Burnett which is the only place where Valley Springs Gneiss (the pink colored rock formations) occur. The composition is mainly Quartz, Feldspar gneiss, biotite and marble. If you look closely kids jump off the rocks into the waterhole.
