Back Paw
Tried to get a capture to show the back paw of the polar bear. It is wide, huge and largely covered with fur making then highly resistent to cold. They also have tiny bumps on the black part called papillae for increased traction. They are well adapted for long distant travel on the sea ice. Along with the long claws on the front (prior capture) which are shorter and stronger than grizzlies but longer and sharper than black bears.
