"Spirit" is an element of Design
This is a capture that I doubt many of you have ever seen or will have the opportunity to take and again a once in a life time for me. I hope you appreciate not only the capture but what Element of Design "Spirit" represents. This is the underside of the B-2 "Stealth" aircraft that protects our country with its unique design and allows it to do reconnaissance undetected around the world. Our Laughlin AFB in Del Rio was the early training base and the facility for the flights over Cuba during the Cuban crisis during the Kennedy years. Their design elements allow for them to stay aloft with little fuel for prolonged flights and it takes a long time for them to come down. During "Thunder over Amistad" we had a flyby at a reasonable level that allowed this capture. Comments are always appreciated on my posts.
