Cameron Gallery at Catherine's Palace
Catherine modish interest had her invite Charles Cameron, interior designer and architect of Scots origin to St. Petersburg in 1779 where he became her favorite and designed many of the most spectacular rooms including the famous Agate room. He designed this gallery perpendicular to the east wing to give best views of the park and Grand Pond. Also designed for use in bad rainy weather.
