Pictographs at Meyers Spring
I took this capture of these small 16th century pictographs from just in front of the spring to give you an idea of how small they are. These ancient pictographs were used as target practice by the 10 cavalry buffalo soldier from some distance away. You can not the accuracy with which they shot by seeing the bullet holes in the buffalo, the horse the Indian is riding on, the thunderbird and dead center on the sun figure. I will post some close up as well. At the time they were not concerned with the value of these pictograph they were more concerned with being the best shots from a horse of any soldier.
