Rheinstein Castle and "Penalty Box"
The Rheinstein Castle was first mentioned in 1300 but King Rudolph of Habsburg passed unethical death sentences in 1282 on noble highway men from neighbouring castles. They were all hanged and there is no reports of using the "Penalty Box" for exposure to wind, weather and birds but this cage became a symbol of Justice on the Rhine and has remained ever present. Taken from boat at F/13, 1/1000 sec at 105mm and ISO 1000 in dark overcast conditions. Converted to B&W in CS3 with color filters.
