Plains Horsemint
I believe this to be Plains Horsmint (Monarda citriodora) also called Lemon beebalm. It grows 1 to 3 fee tall with leaves up to 2 1/2 inches long taper to a spine like tip and bend downward under clusters of flowers that surround the stem at intervals. The small petals are lavender to white and often dotted with purple. This is a less common species than most other horsemints. Taken along the Dolon Creek Road
