Middle Panel of Panther Cave
This pictograph is contiguous with the first right panel and contains significant evidence of overpainting done over 4,000 year. the white areas are where acidic rain water has seeped through the porous limestone cractk, dissolving minute quantities of limestone and depositing calcium carbonate (white) and destroying portions of the ancient pictographs. The rapid destruction of these ancient historical valuable pictographs has stimulated my interest in capturing them digitally so they may forever remain with us. Emile
