Were-Cougar or Panther Anthropomorph
He is also called the hip feathered anthropomorph due to the feathers that arise from the hip. This is unique to this Panther Shelter. The central theme at Panther Cave is the ability of the shaman to assume the shape of his animal familiar, in this case the mountain lion or Panther. In this shelter there are at least eight other cats in various poses and colors. This is the human in his feline incarnation. He stands erect on two feet and holds the spear thrower in his right hand and darts in his clawed hands. His cat ears stand erect and his body is elongated and simulates soft fur on the underbelly. His face is blank, all humanity is submerged. This is the Pecos River Style and dates back to 2,500 BC. Notice the anthropomorph with crenalated arch to his right to be shown separately.
